Steampunk Guitar

Check out my new sculpture. This was done by cutting up a real guitar (it was funny, Cash Converters warned me that it would need to be tuned) all the strings are off and I substituted them with barb wire. The gears are the sprockets from motorcycles. It was hard to get them fitting correctly but in the end it finally worked out. The taps on the tuner are partly real, three are real the other 3 are resin that i cast. This thing is very heavy and im going to need to build a case to keep it protected. Hope you like it!

Epileptikvs II

Hello all

I have finished another painting, this time I have decided to use a subject that is a bit more closer to my heart.

The painting is named Epileptikvs 2, it is the second in a collection of paintings. Its subject is based on the condition Status Epilepticus, a part of epilepsy that causes the person to convulse over and over again. It is lethal as it can cause brain damage, coma or even death. I have experienced this the last 2 times I have had seizures and have had to stay in hospital a few days afterward each time just to recoperate from the medication that is given to me and the pain that this causes.

The meaning of this painting is to show the demoness, epileptikvs, controlling seizures and causing the social stigma that is still powerful even in this day and age. The fire is the outside world looking staring, she keeps her own safe and free from them. The demoness will protect and nurture those she occupies in order to survive.
